Shadows at the Birthing Stones

Our latest trek took us to Kukaniloko, the birthing stones of Wahiawa.  Although we've been to this location before, this outing presented quite a different experience.  My sister, Jill Okita, was able to capture some unusual shadow figures, which appeared right after someone in our group mentioned that she heard a voice say, "Look."

Jill Ward wandered off from the group to take some pictures and to record some EVPs, so she was alone when she heard the disembodied voice.  She called my sister over to tell her what she had heard.  My sister started taking photos of the rocks in the area and noticed that a shadow kept appearing in her pictures.  At first she thought it was her finger, so she made sure to keep the area of the lens and flash clear.  She moved around and took photographs of the rocks at different angles and the shadows still appeared.  Here are a few samples of what she caught.

As my sister and Jill Ward reconvened with the group, a volunteer sat on one of the birthing stones while our tour guide continued to tell us stories about its purpose.
NOTE:  The tour operator encouraged this woman to sit on the rock to see if she could "feel anything."  Unfortunately, this should not have been allowed. If you ever visit this location, please do not sit or lie on the rocks.  This is a very sacred place and long ago, only royalty were allowed to use the stones to aid in the birthing process.

The following photos seem to imply that the shadow decided to join the group as well.

It's important to note that there was nothing wrong with Jill's camera, as she was able to snap many photographs without the dark mass.  Each time she took a picture she was mindful to make sure her finger was not obstructing either the lens or flash.

This is a shot of our group that I took with my camera.  Notice that the shadow still seems to be lingering over the group.  Also notice the orb to the left of the photograph.
