Hauntings at the Naval Air Museum Barbers Point

On May 21, 2016, our paranormal group, Ghostfolks Hawaii, did an investigation of the Naval Air Museum at Barbers Point.

This reputedly haunted museum has had many sightings.  In 1954, an aircraft returning from the Korean War missed its intended airfield and crashed into the Waianae mountain range.  All eight men onboard were killed.  It's been reported that at least one of the crew members, oblivious of his death, wanders the airfield located at this museum.

Many people have reported seeing a ghostly figure standing, walking, or waiting on the flight line and machine shop.  He has identified himself as Joseph Beczek, one of the airmen who perished in the fatal 1954 plane crash.  People have witnessed strands of moving vapors and shadows.  School children who visit the museum would report seeing or feeling a presence in the restroom closest to the machine shop.

This photograph was taken in one of the old aircrafts parked on the runway at the museum.  Right at the moment I snapped this flashless shot, someone stepped in front of me.  This accounts for the shadow in the foreground.  The light on the wall is from someone's flashlight. When I lightened the picture, I noticed there was a face hanging from the ceiling of the plane.  It's to the right of the shadow.

Close-up cropped version of the original photograph above.

This picture was taken by Sarah Chamberlain after she sensed a presence on the left side of the truck (to her right).

This is a cropped close-up of the above photograph.  It's a bit grainy but you can make out the figure of a thin, blonde male with a crew cut.  He appears to be leaning on his left arm.

This was taken in the active bathroom.  Our guide for the evening was demonstrating how one of the employees at the museum was once pulled up and pinned against the wall by some unseen force.  A white mist is captured by our guide's pants.

This next shot was taken immediately after the one above.  At the moment this photograph was taken, Sarah (woman in foreground) felt a pressure at her neck.  Notice that the wispy anomaly is now by Sarah's leg.  This photograph was not cropped, and I tried to keep the camera in the same position when taking the two photographs, so a smudge on the lens was ruled out.

Spirits of Kawaiaha'o Cemetery

On May 13, 2016 (Friday the 13th) I did a graveyard caravan tour with a few members of Ghostfolks Hawaii. While at the Kawaiaha'o Cemetery, we sat down to communicate with the spirits there.

I was sitting directly across two other members (Jill Okita and Irene White) of the group.  My sister (Jill) yelled out to me to take their photograph because both of their EMF detectors were showing very high readings.

This photograph was taken without a flash.  Jill is holding a flashlight so she can't be seen in this picture. The blue orb like anomaly with a nucleus was caused by the light from the flashlight reflecting off my camera's lens.  Nothing paranormal about that, but if you look closely at the area around Irene, you can see several faces.  There's a large face right above the illumination from Jill's flashlight, and there's one face to her left and another to her right.  The faces appear to be looking at what she was looking at, which was her cell phone.

Here's a cropped close-up the the first photograph.

PARADISE PARK in Manoa Valley

This month I was on a tour of the former bird park known as Paradise Park.  The park is now closed to the public, but with special permission, we were able to walk into the overgrown jungle that once housed attractions such as a bird theatre, aviaries, and ponds.

We were led to an abandoned building where a suicide had occurred.  I took some random photographs in the dark and captured a shadow figure standing behind the group.  The funny thing is, throughout the tour, the guide kept asking me if I thought there were more people in the group than what we started with.  I was too engrossed in taking photographs that I didn't even notice.  I guess he was right!

Original photograph.  No flash was used.  The only source of light came from a single flashlight pointed at the ceiling.

Lightened version of the previous photograph.  The shadow figure is seen at the extreme left of this shot.

Camp Mokuleia

About a year ago my sister (Jill Okita) and I were invited to attend an investigation at Camp Mokuleia.  The most active areas were a bedroom located on the second floor of the sleeping quarters and an underground storage area where the bones of children were discovered.

Jill and I started our investigation in the haunted bedroom.  With the aid of an Ovilus and EMF detector, we were able to determine that the spirits of children were lingering on the property in the vicinity where iwi (bones) were uncovered.  Several names popped up on the Ovilus, and when we asked if they could identify the people in the room, the word “double” appeared. We figured they were referring to Jill and me because we’re often mistaken for twins. The words, “disaster,” “boat,” “oar,” and “tilt,” led us to believe that perhaps a boating accident caused the death of the children. When I asked if this is what had happened, all the lights on the EMF detector lit up.

After we were done with the bedroom we joined the rest of the group in the underground storage area. People were saying that they could feel something moving around in the basement. Someone in the group started to feel weak and nauseous.

A cold spot was felt in this area.

And in this area

A wispy figure starts to form to the right of this photograph.  It looks like a person holding a stick in his/her left hand.

During our second visit to the upstairs bedroom, we asked again if "they" could identify who was sitting in the room.  The word "double" appeared again.  We also got the word "hitch" and "road," which made Jill think that whatever was in the room was hinting that it wanted to hitch a ride home with us.  Jill immediately replied that we were not to be followed, and that whatever was in the room, had to remain where they were.

The communication slowed down after that, at which point Jill became suspicious about who was actually interacting with us.  That's when she asked the question, "Who is your Lord and Master?"  After a long pause we got the word "Pluto," which is the Greek name for Hades, ruler of the underworld.  The words "suppress" and "hold" also popped up on the Ovilus, which made us suspect that something was preventing the spirits of the children from moving on.  Jill then asked with a little more force, "Who are you?"  The chilling reply we got was, "DEMON."

There were four of us in the room and the only source of light was a flashlight that was placed on the table where one of our group members was sitting at.  I was sitting on one of the two beds in the room.  I decided to take random shots of the place without a flash.  Another member was standing near the door and Jill was sitting on the floor next to the other bed.  When I lightened the dark photograph, this is what appeared.  It looks like a misshapen, semi-transparent figure.

This photograph was taken immediately after the first shot above.  After lightening it, it shows a more defined hooded figure.  Could this be the demonic spirit or Djinn we were communicating with through the Ovilus?

Ocean Hitchhiker of Kauai

DEBUNKED

Apparently Kai was disingenuous when relating this story to me.  It appears there was a female onboard during this fishing trip.  The woman in the picture is an avid diver named Kiley, who was climbing onto the boat when this shot was taken.  She was contacted and she confirmed her identity in the photograph.

This is the "story"that was originally related to me, and which I fell for, "hook, line and sinker".........

A couple of months ago, a young fisherman from Kauai named Kai Kimura, went on a fishing expedition with his brother and 4 other guys.  It was a four day fishing trip that took them to the channel between the islands of Kauai and Niihau.  When Kai began reviewing his photographs from this trip, he came across a “cool sunset pic.”  Upon closer inspection he realized he captured more than just a gorgeous sunset.

I am so thrilled that Kai graciously allowed me to post this amazing photograph. If you look towards the bottom of the picture, you can make out a round, shadowy object.  If you zoom in closer you’ll see that the object at the end of the boat is actually the image of an Asian looking woman who is hanging onto the back of the craft.  She appears to be “sitting on the swim step on the back of the boat."  Kai found it particularly “disturbing” because it seemed as though this girl was watching him as he took the picture.

This is the original photograph of Kai's "sunset."
This is a lightened version of the original photograph.

Finally, this is a close-up of the mysterious ocean hitchhiker.  It appears this woman has some visible injuries to her right eye and her nose appears to be bleeding. I tried researching online to see if she resembled anyone who was reported missing or had died in the water where this photograph was taken, but was not successful in finding anything.

Though there are many Photoshopped fakes out there, but I believe this is an authentic, unaltered photograph taken by an unpretentious boy who genuinely believed he was just taking a scenic shot of a beautiful sunset.  I’m sure this experience has forever changed Kai Kimura’s perception of the world, and he now knows that you can sometimes catch more than just fish when you’re out fishing.

Oahu Cemetery Entity

Oahu Cemetery is the oldest public graveyard in Hawaii, and it is probably one of the most haunted resting places on the island.  Ask any sensitive and they'll tell you that this graveyard is overflowing with spirits.  On the evening of our visit, someone's EMF detector was going crazy, so it was determined that something was probably following the group as we meandered through the cemetery.

This was one of the many random photographs I took as we toured the cemetery. It didn't look like much when I first viewed it, but something caught my eye in the far left corner above the hedge.

I zoomed in to the left side of the picture.  After I cropped and lightened it, this is what appeared in the photograph.  It was the face of an entity peering over a four foot hedge.

There were other people in the cemetery with me but we were on an arranged tour so everyone stayed together. I brought up the rear to make sure no one ventured off on their own. When I turned around to take this shot, everyone in the group was directly behind me.

This is an even closer cropped version of the face above the hedge.

Here is a brightened and enhanced version of the above photograph.

Orbs in Japan

I wasn't really in the spirit photography mode when we visited Japan, but after reviewing my trip pictures I discovered several curious images of light anomalies.  The lens on my camera was clean and free from water spots or smudges.  Pictures before and after these shots were clear and "spot free."

This photograph was taken at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo.  An orb is visible behind a man wearing a black suit.

Here's another photograph taken at the fish market.  Notice the fuzzy light anomaly at the upper left corner of this picture.

The Fushimi Inari Shrine is located in Kyoto.  This photograph was taken in a shaded area so you have to look closely to see the orb that is loitering among the tiny toriis in the middle of the picture.  There is also another orb at the top, right below the frame of the large torii.

The Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple is in Arashiyama.  It's a temple that not very many people visit because it's small and further than most tourist want to venture out to.  Though a bit out of the way, I'm glad we visited this unusual location.  Orbs are to the left of this structure and also on the left corner tip of the top roof.

Here's another photograph taken at the Otagi Nenbutsuji.  In this photograph, a moving orb appears right above the doorway of this very old structure.
